Caplan's - A Toronto Institution

Appliances have come a long way over the years so whenever renovating and redesigning a kitchen it's important to be on top of all the lattest innovations - ideally long before choosing the design or style of your cabinetry.

Caplan's, established in 1930, is a family run business and a Toronto institution. Located at the corner of

Eglinton and Weston Road, they are my preferred destination for technology and expertise brand name appliances.

Caplan's main location at 1111 Weston Rd. showcases brands ranging from Kitchen Aid and Fisher Paykel to Sub Zero, while their outlet sells the same brand name appliances at cost or better.

Across the street is their Miele Gallery and interactive appliance showroom complete with a working kitchen and full-time chef offering hands on product demonstrations, classes and cooking tips. I was recently invited to experience this one of a kind showroom and dining experience firsthand.
